The University Institute of Mental Health was created by the Psychoanalytic Association of Buenos Aires. The IUSAM is intended for education, professional training and research in the disciplines that study the Mental Health, and the provision of services to the community in that area of ​​knowledge, with an interdisciplinary approach. Its purpose is the generation and dissemination of knowledge at the highest level, in a climate of freedom, justice and solidarity, its main goals are teaching, research and service provision, offering an interdisciplinary human and cultural training for the integration of knowledge and scientific and vocational training, helping to promote the development of knowledge aimed at understanding, study, prevention and assistance in the field of mental health.
