Every year, IIARE selects 135 students for its master's course and 112 students for its doctoral course. In the past five years, IIARE has provided a total of 401 students with research and financial support amounting to 650 million yen. This spring, we awarded graduates with a doctoral degree for the second time. Almost all of our master's course students enroll into our doctoral course, and almost all of our doctoral course students earn their doctorates and become researchers at universities, enterprises, and national or private research institutes. We believe that one of our objectives (to cultivate young world-class researchers) has been achieved.
