The University Institution of Envigado is an institution of higher education located in the municipality of Envigado in the department of Antioquia , Colombia . Speaking of the university is referring to local events, as in all its latent to do is the hallmark that characterizes it. The design process for this project dates back to 1988, when the idea of ​​creating a higher public policy for the municipality of Envigado education arises. In 1992 the creation of the University Corporation for Envigado is consolidated, which begins academic activities on 10 February 1995 with undergraduate Electronic Engineering and Systems Engineering. Later, a study based in the ICFES the February 6, 1995 makes official the creation of the University Institution of Envigado.
