Indonesian Arts Institute (ISI) in Surakarta is one of the colleges in the state of art under the guidance of the Directorate General of Higher Education Ministry of National Education (MONE RI). ISI Surakarta was originally a college-level academic by the name of Art Academy Karawitan Indonesia (ASKI) Surakarta, which was established as one of the containers to pioneer the development of traditional art.Traditional arts institution of higher education can thrive if it is established in the midst of an environment that supports it, which naturally can provide feedback. Growth and the rate of development of art itself can only be realized by the innovator / creative personnel such as educators, artists, critics, and art penghayat who have the ability and openness.
