Our academic rigour is not just historical. In our Inspection in October 2011, Ofsted recognised us as a ‘good’ college ‘with outstanding features’, and concluded ‘students make good and outstanding progress at HNC’. In becoming a student at HNC, you will be challenged to achieve as much as you can. Situated on the edge of the Pennines, perfectly placed for students from either Kirklees or Calderdale, Huddersfield New College is a specialist sixth form college which caters exclusively for young people in the 16-18 age range. We offer courses at levels 1, 2 and 3, and are the only college in West Yorkshire to allow students to study a mix of both A Level and BTEC qualifications.
