We started operations in August 1997, but it was not until May 22, 1998, when the then Governor of the State, Lic. Vicente Fox Quesada, by government decree number 94, formally and legally create our technology as a public agency State Government of Guanajuato, born to satisfy the need to meet the demand for higher education in the region and as a strategy for strengthening the textile industry. Currently we receive students from more than 15 municipalities in the region and are constantly growing. In the Superior Technological Institute of Southern Guanajuato, we understand that the student is a human being who learns from the active interaction with individuals, their own experience and their ability to assimilate the world; a historical being actively builds its future, leading us to favor technological higher education as a tool to build, transform and improve the standard of living of human beings.
