The Graduate Institute of Science and Management (GISM) is a modern centre for higher learning and research, established in 2010 by academics that represented in all the faculties from Universities both in Sri Lanka and overseas. GISM course programmes, research activities and professional programmes are now conducted under the following Faculties and Centres.

Prof. Dr. Senaratne is an academic and a researcher who is renowned internationally for his scientific contributions to humanity on microwave technologies, telecommunication and early detection of cancer using scattering waves.
Having spent many years in the U.K. and New Zealand, engaged in both the academic and industry sectors, he brings an unparalleled body of knowledge and experience to Sri Lanka. He completed his PhD. at Massey University, New Zealand on Microwave signal processing for foreign object detection using the Inverse Scattering Theory. His was later applied as an alternative method for early detection of breast cancer, which had given him much reputation internationally in the field of cancer detection and Microwave signal processing.
Born in Rathnapura district, Sri Lanka, he began his university life at University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, and started his career in engineering at the Sri Lanka Telecom. Later he entered into the Westminster University, U.K. where he completed his MSc. on Satellite, Mobile and Broadband Communication. He is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, U.K., a former lecturer at Massey University, New Zealand and currently a Visiting Professor at Sharda University, India. He is also a recipient of the New Zealand's prestigious Industry Fellowship in 2004.
After returning to Sri Lanka in 2010, he, together with academics from both local and overseas universities has established the Graduate Institute of Science and Management (GISM), with the core vision of creating opportunities for our students to access the best quality higher education programmes in the world. He now leads GISM as its Founder President"
