The institution, at present is a degree college watching towards becoming a fully developed ,well equipped P.G college. And demand category to the need of local population the Govt. of M.P decided to open a degree college in mundi in 2010. There had no institution for higher studies in the whole Punasa Tehsil and the parents had either to send their wards to khandwa city or the make their study as the private canandidates for the purposes. It was more difficult for female student who aspired to obtain a degree and be a part of highly educated population of India. Mundi is a small but growing village with a population of more than twenty thousand and around hundred villages surrounding it. It is a beautiful place with thick and green forest on two sides , back waters of punasa dam on one side and lush green field on the other. Cotton and chili are the main product which make some of the fairness rich and who talk with sincere effort of the local leaders and elder man of the village the idea of spreading higher education to interior sections was full field by the government .A degree college was initially standard in arts faculty. Sociology, economics , political science , Hindi literature along with foundation course of component are the subject in arts faculty ,or the demanded of students science faculty was opened in the academic season 2011-2012 science faculty offers plain B.S.C. course with biology and mathematics streams.
