Global Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (GIPER), Kashipur is situated in the foothills of the great Himalayas and is around 49 kilometres from the Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve. It is managed by the KMT (Krishna Memorial Trust) which is known for supporting institutes imparting quality education. Today GIPER is a knowledge powerhouse and a brand name in pharmaceutical sciences and its foundation was laid by Dr. A.K. Saxena, a well-known name in the field of pharmacy, who had the desire to provide quality education and other essential services to the people of the region. The concept of GIPER was also endorsed by internationally renowned scientists and they showed their support by gracing, International Seminar on Pharmaceutical Education & Research (ISPER) in the first year of its establishment. This event further highlighted the significance of GIPER and made it the first institute in India to hold an international meet in its very first year of inception, attended by scientists from USA, Germany, Russia, South Africa, Egypt etc. GIPER was approved by AICTE in 2009 and the institute was approved for the conduct of course by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). GIPER was also certified by ISO 9001:2008 in 2011.
