In 1998, with the vision to improve the academic facilities in remote areas of Punjab, the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad opened its Sub-Campus "College of Agriculture" at DG Khan. Later in 2004, following the same principle the BZU also established its Sub-Campus at DG Khan.
university consisted of 1,189 acres of land. In the university, there are 185 classrooms, 71-room admin bloc, five libraries, 39 laboratories, five hostels and seven sports grounds. There are 137,159 books and 464 journals in the five libraries. Currently, 5,500 students are studying here. The library includes of Ghazi University D.G.Khan all reference books of the courses that are being conducted as well as other books. Up-gradation of the library is in process. Students will be provided with the latest edition of well-reputed journals. A unique joint degree program with international universities is under consideration. This would greatly improve the academic as well as the communication skills of the students
