Promotion of socio-economic development, integration with our Region, giving value to teaching, research and extension. Following these principles and listening to the community, FURB began to construct its history in 1964. In more than four decades of activity, the ideals and concepts produced at the University of Blumenau gave birth to a tradition, fashioned by ethics, democracy and social responsibility. A trajectory that joined theory and practice made the Institution become a center for generation of knowledge and a reference for innovation in the South of the Country.
