Punjab Medical College is being maintained by the Government of Punjab and is under the administrative control of Health Department. Presently, Punjab Medical College, Allied and DHQ Hospitals have been granted the autonomous status and being managed by Board of Management. The Principal of the college is responsible for all the administrative matters. A college Academic Council has been constituted (including Professors and Heads of Departments) and Principal of the college is the Chairman of the council.
