The ESAP Superior School of public administration aims to training, training and development, from the context of the research, teaching and University extension, values, skills and knowledge of the Administration and management of the public that lead to the transformation of the State and the citizen.
This trip back to the beginning of 20th century, where the political and social situation was marked by the power struggle for control of the State between Liberals and conservatives, thoughts that threw large wars (war of the thousand days) and great bloodshed. The process of Colombian violence rages with the death of Jorge Eliecer Gaitán in 1948, and the fall of President Laureano Gómez (June 13, 1953) at the hands of General Rojas Pinilla, military Government which began a series of studies seeking to identify the needs of the Colombian population and their corresponding solutions.
