The University of Córdoba (Spanish: Universidad de Córdoba), also called Unicor or Unicórdoba, is a public, departmental, coeducational, research university based in the city of Montería, Córdoba, Colombia.
After getting the support of parliamentarians, the first step was the adoption by the Departmental Assembly of Córdoba Ordinance No. 6 of 1962, which creates the University of Cordoba and authorizes its operation. In the same year, after great efforts, Act 103 of 1962, which creates in Monteria Faculties of Agricultural Engineering and Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, as dependencies of the National University of Colombia, based in Bogotá is issued.
