Danang University was founded in 1975, right after the war in Vietnam ended and Vietnam was re-unified. Though thirty-four years is not a long period of development for a university, it is definitely a historic age for DUE. Since its foundation in 1975, Danang University of Education has gone through major stages of development. From 1975 to 1993, the University put great efforts in buiding basic facilities and developing human resources to meet the requirements of a educational unit at undergraduate and post-graduate level. From 1994 up till now, DUE has experienced major developments. At present, DUE belongs to The University of Danang, which is one of the national leading Universities of Vietnam. Therefore, DUE must strive to meet the criteria of a national leading university with the most important focus on research.
