The College is presently a union of three Schools and two Centres. They are the School of Art, Design and Media; the School of Humanities and Social Sciences; the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information; the Nanyang Centre for Public Administration; and the Centre for Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. We are currently home to some 5,000 students, faculty and staff.
The College has in 2011 set up two new sections, namely, the Centre of Social Media Innovations for Communities (COSMIC) and the New Silk Road Programme Office. COSMIC is a S$10 million initiative funded by MDA over five years that involves researchers specialising in communities, design and technologies from National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB). The Centre aims to empower people in the informal economy who are typically underserved by existing technology vendors and telecom service providers through social media innovations that improve the way they live, work and play. The corresponding three research centres located in NUS, NTU and IITB have been or in the process of being set up at present.
