incipal's desk : Institute of Hotel Management Bodhgaya is a registered society under the Societies Registration Act 1863,Government of Bihar. It was initiated by Ministry of Tourism Government of India in collaboration with Tourism Department Government of Bihar in establishing in the year 2008 in a temporary premises in order to distribute language of hotel in an auspicious place like Bodhgaya with the diploma courses of 1 year and 6 months duration in Food Production and Food & Beverage Service. The entire view of both the ministries ie Government of India and Government of Bihar levels to spread education in the hospitality industry apart from one already located in Hajipur. The District Administration of Gaya had accorded 8 acres of land in the prime location of Gaya - Dobhi Road where the institute is proposed to have its main administrative block alongwith its academic activities, hostels to accommodate boys and girls and sufficient quarters for the faculty and administrative staff to reside. The project is being met by the Government of India to the tune of 10 crores towards construction of the main block and 2 Crores for furniture and equipment alongwith an MOU with Government of Bihar to bear any extra cost by Government of Bihar scheduled for the constructions. The project alongwith the drawings and design was duly approved and handed over to the construcition agency i.e. CPWD Patna. The institute is expected to take off from the batch commencing from 2012 – 2013 starting 3 year degree course of BSc in Hotel and Hospitality Administration in collaboration with National councile for Hotel
