CIM grew in stature leading the way in showing the region how marketing could be embraced as a strategic function that underpins business success in corporates; which enabled CIM to achieve “Regional” status in July 2004. This has given the influence for CIM Sri Lanka Region to over look the operations of the entire South East Asian region. Over the years, CIM Sri Lanka Region has grown from strength to strength, leading the effort to bring marketing to the corporate boardroom; and has become the fastest growing CIM body in the world. In recognition of the excellent value created to its membership and the regional community, CIM Sri Lanka Region was awarded the Best Managed Region Award for the first time in 2005.
