On 18th November, 1989, the District Administration, on the instructions of the Chief Minister, asked the public for generous financial assistance for Chenab College Jhang. This demanding task continued under the favourable auspices of the administration and with a noble intention of self-help as a result of which the Juniors Wing of Chenab College came into being under the headship of Mr Zaheer Kazim Siddiqui, who raised the status of the school by working day in and day out in the course of his two-years contract.
