The BTL Educational Trust for Rural Development was founded in the year 1979 and registered under the Charitable Endowment Act. The Trust was founded by Sri. B.T. Lakshman, an NRI from U.S.A. The mission of the Trust is non profit, non sectarian and is dedicated to provide job oriented education, health and other humanitarian services to rural needy and disadvantaged persons. With this intention, he created a team of volunteer professionals and community leaders to head the organization as Trustees. Infact the Founder Trustees were such an eminent personalities in the field of education and Community service, like Prof. H. Narasimhaiah, Pof. H.N. Thimmegowda, Prof. H. Srinivasaiah, Prof. B. Byarappa, Prof. K.S. Rame Gowda,Lt Dr. G. Narayan to name a few. The Trust is managing and running a chain of educational institutions in three campuses namely Bommasandra, BSK 3rd Stage in Bangalore & Kesare in Mysore.
