Binh Duong University was established in 1997 in accordance with Decision No. 791/TTg issued on 24 May 1997 of the Prime Minister. Since the foundation, the development of Binh Duong University is highlighted with the following milestones: Feb 04, 1998 - Binh Duong University started the enrollment for the 4-year higher education courses according to Decision No. 202/QD – MoET by the Minister of Education and Training. Oct 14, 1999 - Binh Duong University started the enrollment for college courses under Decision No. 4063/QD - MoET by the Minister of Education and Training. Apr 28, 2004 - Binh Duong University started the enrollment for distance education courses under Decision No. 2168/QD - MoET by the Minister of Education and Training. Aug 11, 2004 – Binh Duong University started the enrollment for the intermediate vocational courses under Decision No. 4214/TCCN/DN by the Minister of Education and Training
