A.V College of Arts, Science and Commerce was established in 1968 as a part of A.V Education Society. Andhra Vidyalaya Education Society is one of the oldest and pioneer educational society in the erstwhile Nizam’s state of Hyderabad. The college owes its existence to the initiative and untiring efforts of its founding fathers Sri K. V. Ranga Reddy and Sri J. V. Narsing Rao both former deputy chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh. Today, the college has grown from strength to strength and emerged as a premier institution of higher learning in the state with diversified undergraduate and postgraduate courses and research and consultancy activities. The eminence of the college and its vibrant activities are basically due to the contribution of many eminent personalities from different walks of life. The college is the product of vision of the founding fathers and dedicated services of late Justice Sri K.
