Success is consistency, hard work, determination, dedication, and constant learning all rolled into one. Success usually is termed accidental.
As much as we like to read success stories, and learn about people, a lot of us don’t understand success isn’t overnight- even for the people who have been an overnight success.
Success comes with a lot of determination and a vision to change the world.
We know, the only ones who can change the world are the ones who are crazy enough to think they can.
Although every success story is unique in itself, all successful people hold common core ideologies that set them apart from the mediocre.
Here are 8 mantras successful people swear by:
It is never 100%- You are never going to be 100% ready, it will never be the right time or environment, you will never have enough resources. You have to go out, hustle, and give it all you have got to go and get it!
Write your own story, even if it sounds bizarre to others- A lot of successful people have been called “crazy” long before they had been called successful. Think big and do not let anyone tell you your ideas are “too big”. Follow your instinct; it usually wants the best for you. Write your own story, think big and execute bigger; and don’t let anyone write your story for you.
Integrity goes a long way- Being punctual, giving credit to people, and being honest to your work are acts of integrity to name a few. The integrity of a person determines what values a person upholds and strong integrity reflects a good work ethic. Give people credit when they do good- relationships are important, arrive on time- it shows humility,
Life is like a photograph, you develop from negatives- A lot of people do not understand that failure is a part of success. Failure is always taken as a negative term; a lot of us fail to understand that failure is the key ingredient in the recipe of success. Success is jumping from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm. Failure= learning; and learning= growth.
Loving your drama and problems does not get you anywhere- All too often, we are so attached to our drama and problems- we mentally create obstacles that are not even there in reality. Negative self-talk, procrastination, self-doubt, and creativity killing are some of the ways how we hamper our own success. Let go of your problems and make your life revolve around solutions, and don’t be terrified of change.
Do not settle, comfort zones are pretty places to visit, not to stay in- Nothing ever grows in comfort zones. If it gets comfortable, it is time to move on. One of the things we forget is that it is okay to grow out of roles, responsibilities, and positions into bigger roles and goals. If a plan does not work, change the plan, not the goal. Being scared shows you are going onto bigger things, which means you are on the right track. Have faith in yourself.
“In a gentle way, you can shake the world.” —Mahatma Gandhi.
