Feel free to speak

Feel free to speak

That fear of being on the stage completely dumb and nervous thinking what to say and how to say. This is the most common thing that happens to students when they speak for the first time publicly or when they fear speaking. Speaking fearlessly is one of the qualities that students should definitely posses. It not only helps them in their career but also gives a boost to their personality.

I totally agree that when you are in front of the masses you feel choked and lost.
You lose all your confidence and start feeling nervous but this is the situation that actually has to come before you succeed. Until and unless you will experience that failure you won’t be able to enjoy success.

It has been observed that most of the students fear public speaking. They feel shy to be at the limelight. This leads to them being indecisive and make them conscious. Speaking in front of masses is not that easy.

There are a number of thoughts that keep running in your mind. What if I fail? What if people laugh at me? What if I could not make myself clear? If you also feel the same you don’t need to panic in fact you need to be happy. These thoughts are embedded in our human tendency. Coming of such questions is very genuine. But all that you need to do is be motivated and determined.

It requires a lot of confidence and strength for students to speak up. At this point of time your good communication skills can make you look more presentable, confident and organized.
One should just express themselves. Audience may try to distract you but you need to be focused and attentive.
The simpler your thoughts will be the more easily you can express and speak.
One should ensure that he/she chose a language in which they are more comfortable. This just gives a sense of connectivity to the audience. If you are new to the stage make sure your words are proper and effective.

Don’t try to show off things or you will end up being in a mess. People listen to them who himself believes what he is saying, who actually know the meaning of his words and who makes them have a feeling of reality. Make sure you are not hurting anybody’s sentiments. You are the one who has to take care of the audience. If you want the audience to pay attention to your words you should speak wisely.
Choose correct words and avoid jargons. Jargons may seem confusing. Try to be more presentable. Confused and over dramatic looks may make audience lose their interest.

It is all the matter of being free, the freer you become the more clear and impressive speech you can give. Initially you may feel like a burden but then you will start enjoying it. There is when audience will also start enjoying listening to you. Once you get to engage them they will listen to you with full dedication and focus. Some things need to be earned and this is what a speaker has to do. He/she has to earn the listeners interest, his desire to listen to your words.

All the Students have a great opportunity. They can try for debate and speaking competitions. This will help them nurture and grow. Starting with things from an early stage yield better results so make sure you work on this.
Apart from this there is one more thing one should keep in mind. You should never feel ashamed of not being able to speak. This feeling will create hindrance in your growth and development.

Grab every possible opportunity. Whether people listen you or not you need to be full loyal to your words. Don’t give up just because someone laughed at you or commented at you. Don’t let anyone else break your confidence. Instead learn from their points and try to excel.

There are many big personalities who still fear being on stage. It is natural. Feel no pressure and just let it out. This is what is required. Public speaking may seem difficult but it is the easiest if one can deal with his audience. Your audience is who determines whether you have been successful in entertaining them or failed.

If you still have problem doing that try speaking in front of the mirror. It really works. First try being comfortable with you, then try for events.

The next time you get a chance to speak, speak your heart out.
