Asunción Metropolitan University is a private university established by Act of the Nation, No. 2073 of February 03, 2003. Since its inception, the UMA sought to realize, the "Academic Excellence" and the challenge of providing education proposed superior comprehensive, high quality, with clear objectives, according to its mission and appropriate to the present and the future vision. It initiated its activities in 2003, with the Carrera Science Education, English Language, and achieving a remarkable growth as Higher Education institution. The UMA, we believe in sustainable human development and training with professional prestige. Its graduates screened prospective position in the national, regional and global levels.In 2005 is created the School of Economics and Business Administration with the authorization by the University Council and the University Council, to the race of Accounting and Auditing, Economics and Business Administration. Since 2006 the Faculty is created Legal Social Sciences, Political and Resolution No. 86 of May 27, 2006, opening its academic activities in 2006 after the approval of the School of Law, by Resolution of the Supreme Council of the University Act No. 39 dated 25/05/2006. currently, more than 8 years of studying law, has two classes of graduates since 2011, reaching so far a total of 60 graduates, with approximately 100 students enrolled in the 2014 period and a staff of 25 teachers.
