Kirklees College came into being in August 2008 through a merger between Dewsbury College and Huddersfield Technical College.Both Dewsbury College and Huddersfield Technical College have an illustrious past and, through Kirklees College, a successful future together.Kirklees College is now one of the biggest colleges in the country with a vast range of courses and study options to choose from. The college was formed on 1 August 2008 after the Dewsbury College Dissolution order approved that the corporation of Dewsbury College be dissolved and all its property, rights and liabilities transferred to Huddersfield Technical College. On 1 August 2008 Huddersfield Technical College changed its name to Kirklees College.Based at the heart of Yorkshire, we have many centres across Kirklees serving the local population, communities and businesses.
