Government Degree College Una has the rare distinction of being first in Himachal Prdesh to be crowned the college with potential with excellence by the UGC. Since 1968, the year of inception, the college has added many feathers to its cap and has passed the test of time. The faculty is committed to impart the best contemporary education to the students. B.A, B.Sc.(Medical & Non-Medical), B.Com, M.A(English, Political Science) and M.Com are the regular courses being offered by the college. In addition to this BBA, BCA, PGDCA, MCA and MBA are being successfully run under the self-finance scheme of the Government of Himachal Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh University. UGC sponsored add-on courses like Computer Application and Journalism are also being offered.
